Asphalt is a blend of aggregates, such as crushed rocks or gravel, held together with a binder made from bitumen. Its strength, durability, and aesthetics make it an excellent choice for applications ranging from private driveways to large commercial parking lots and municipal roads.
There are different grades of asphalt, each best suited for a different use. The majority of asphalt is hot mix, produced at high temperatures and suitable for laying during the warmer months. Cold mix asphalt can be used for temporary patching, as well as lightly traveled surfaces.
