What can I do about cracks in my asphalt?
If you notice cracks in your asphalt, it is very important to have them fixed right away. Over time, water can seep into cracks, eroding the bottom layers of the asphalt and leading to potholes and even complete asphalt failure.
Cracks are easily fixed with a process known as crack sealing. The first step is for us to thoroughly route the crack, expanding it into a V-shape with fresh edges. We will then clean out the crack, removing debris that could interfere with sealing. Finally, we will fill in the crack with a hot rubber sealant that expands to lie flush with the existing pavement, but retains flexibility for the inevitable expansion and contraction caused by tough winters.
